If “Ugly Betty” can win a Golden Globe,
an “ugly driveway”
can win you a luxury night out.
For every cracked, beat-up, worn-out
driveway, there’s a story. Perhaps it’s
a tale of neglect, Nor’easters and New
England winters, or perhaps an
unfortunate incident involving a monster
tractor pull looking for a place to turn
around.
With its “World’s Ugliest Driveway
Contest,” BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT® LLC’s
Owner and Operator Jack Child is looking
to add another:
How having an ugly driveway can
win a homeowner a limo ride to the best
restaurant in town for a free meal.
Submit a photo of YOUR “ugly driveway”
for consideration.
Starting June 1, homeowners can
submit a photo of their “ugly driveway”
for consideration. Besides just plain
being ugly, points will be given for
creativity and cleverness in the form of
captions (e.g. my driveway after aliens
landed on it) and brief stories (e.g.
cracks that resemble celebrities or
world leaders).
The winner, to be selected on July 31,
will receive a ride in a brand new 2007
Lincoln stretch limousine, courtesy of
Brown’s Luxury Limousines of
Londonderry, NH (www.nh-limo.com), to
the Hanover Street Chop House,
Manchester’s finest restaurant, for a
celebratory bottle of champagne (on
Hanover Street Chop House) and a free
meal (on BLACK DAWG).
“There really are no ugly driveways,
just great ‘before’ photos,” said Child.
“With this contest, we want homeowners
to know that having an ugly driveway is
not a symbol of shame or embarrassment,
but an opportunity.”
2 ways to enter:
Submit your “ugly driveway” photo
electronically to
uglydriveway@BlackDawgSealcoat.com
and put “World’s Ugliest Driveway
Contest” in the “Subject” line.
Contestants can also send their
entry by snail mail to:
BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT LLC
141-143 Burke Street
Nashua, NH 03060.
Entries are limited to one per
household. If your entry is not of
your home, you must know the name of
the homeowner as we’ll personally
deliver the grand prize to
authenticate the winning driveway.
Limo ride not to exceed three hours;
BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT will pick up the
first $150 of the tab at the Hanover
Street Chop House.
Serving both residential and
commercial markets, BLACK DAWG
franchises use environmentally
friendlier, non-toxic and non-tracking
sealing material, which leaves very
little odor, to restore asphalt to its
original, black-as-night finish. Besides
a better look, the sealant employed by
BLACK DAWG slows oxidation and other
damaging effects of the sun and
ultraviolet rays while creating a
protective barrier against gas, oil,
chemicals, and your driveway’s worst
enemy - water.
Renowned for its professional and
courteous customer service (real people
actually answer the phone), BLACK DAWG
SEALCOAT also offers Hot Rubber crack
sealing services as well as line
striping and complete pavement marking
services for commercial parking lots.
BLACK DAWG’s service area includes
