BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT expands litter. Awards Fairfield
County, Connecticut franchise to Bill, Cris Ann and
Shannon Mulreed.
DATELINE: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT and NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE...
Over the last three years, BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT LLC,
based in Nashua, NH, has spent just as much time repairing
the public's perception of the asphalt maintenance
industry as mending worn-out, cracked driveways and
giving them a black-as-night new coating. With the
awarding of its first Connecticut franchise to Bill,
Cris Ann and Shannon Mulreed, BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT
of Fairfield County, BLACK DAWG will have reinforcements
in its efforts to show another part of New England
how a superior asphalt maintenance company operates.
"What makes BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT different is
that we truly believe in earning the trust of our
customers. We do that with first-rate customer service
(real people answer the phone) and state-of-the-art
sealcoating technologies and we put that philosophy
to work every single day," said Jack Child, founder
and owner of BLACK DAWG Franchise Group LLC. "We're
positively thrilled to have the Mulreeds in the BLACK
DAWG family to bring that level of quality and service
to Fairfield County, particularly as our initial entry
into Connecticut."
BLACK DAWG franchises use environmentally friendlier,
non-toxic and non-tracking sealing material, which
leaves very little odor, to restore driveways to their
original attractive look. Besides a better appearance,
the sealant employed by BLACK DAWG slows oxidation
and other damaging effects of the sun and ultraviolet
rays while creating a protective barrier against gas,
oil and chemicals. Most importantly, it protects the
driveway against moisture and water penetration -
the driveway's worst enemy.
BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT also offers hot rubber crack
sealing services as well as line striping and complete
pavement marking services for commercial parking lots.
With its initial entry into Connecticut, BLACK DAWG's
service area will include the communities of Bethel,
Bridgeport, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Easton, Fairfield,
Greenwich, Monroe, New Canaan, New Fairfield, Newtown,
Norwalk, Shelton, Sherman, Stamford, Stratford, Redding,
Ridgefield, Trumbull, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
"We sold our refuse collection business in 2006
and we spent the next several months after that shopping
for franchise opportunities, looking at everything
from car washes to Dairy Queen to mini-marts,"
said Cris Ann Mulreed, who along with husband, Bill,
and son, Shannon, will run BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT of
Fairfield County. "BLACK DAWG's presentation
and packaging sold us. BLACK DAWG offers a seasonal
business for which there is a legitimate need, with
minimal franchise fees, reasonable overhead, a support
system and business model in place that gives you
a tangible road map for success. Add to that the fact
that we already had a black lab, Dibble, and the decision
to start a BLACK DAWG franchise here in Fairfield
County was easy."
BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT's other New England franchises
provide service to the New Hampshire communities of
Atkinson, Bedford, Derry, Exeter, Hampstead, Hampton,
Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Londonderry, Manchester,
Merrimack, Nashua, Pelham, Portsmouth, Salem, Stratham
and Windham as well as the Massachusetts towns of
Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover and Andover.
BLACK DAWG SEALCOAT is a member of the Better Business
Bureau, the National Pavement Contractor's Association
and several local chambers of commerce and actively
supports local and national non-profit organizations,
including the PLUS Company, Fisher House for Families
of Disabled Veterans and the Red Cross. The new owners
of BLACK DAWG of Fairfield County already support
the Special Olympics and Cancer Research and have
sponsored Little League and Babe Ruth baseball programs
in the Wilton area for more than 25 years. In addition,
Cris Ann Mulreed has been actively involved with local
Women's Abuse Centers.
